I saw Becker and Lendl in my only ever Wimbledon final, 1986. Not a great match, but great experience!

Rafael Osuna was the best ever player from Mexico. He won the US Championship in 1963 and the Wimbledon doubles in 1960 and 1963. He also lead Mexico to the 1962 Davis Cup finals. Sadly he was killed in a plane crash in June 1969 at the age of 30.

I don't think Mexico have had anybody since Raul Ramirez. However I remember that GB is due to play Mexico away in the Fed Cup at some stage(coronavirus permitting) I hope this won't be  an occasion for Mexican  tennis players to announce themselves on the world stage.

I reckon that Becker and Kuerten were very unlucky to find themselves in this group. Though SF may still have been their limit.
