I recall Tracy and brother John winning the Wimbledon Mixed and loved her commentary style also, so Tracy gets my vote

Some VERY big names indeed. Seems to me to be the group of death. But Martina for me. Billie Jean King if she'd been in other groups...

And having gone through all the groups now, I do think this is the toughest! There are 3-4 players here I'd have voted for ahead of the choices in one or two of the later groups especially...

A tough group indeed. I've seen six of those play at Wimbledon - the others I've never heard of, so must be some years back.
Can't decide between Martina (saw some great matches, some with Chrissie), Caroline and Tracy.

Yes, somehow or other you've got Martina and Billie-Jean who have won 15 Wimbledon singles titles  between them in the same group.. They are also in that small band of players who have won all the Grand Slam singles. Never mind they might be great champions but maybe not the favourites of everybody.

Completely random draw I am afraid, blame the computer folk!

Beverley Fleitz was apparently ambidextrous and played with two forehand! She married actor Scotty Beckett on September 28, 1949, in Las Vegas, Nevada.[6] Baker was granted a divorce in June 1950.[7] She married tennis player John Fleitz on October 6, 1951. They had five daughters together. John died in Long Beach, California on November 14, 2011, at age 82.

Yola Ramirez reached two French finals, in 1960 and 1961 , one of Mexicos best ever players. Not sure if Raul Ramirez is related to her.

Helga Niessen Masthoff also reached the Paris final, losing to Margaret Court in 1970.

And Natasha Zvereva, not related to Sascha Zverev , also reached the 1988 French final.

Ann Jones beat Yola Ramirez to win the 1961 French Championships.(those were the days)

Yes she failed to win a game against Steffi in the final. That was the year when Steffi did the Grand Slam.

Beryl Penrose is now 89 and fit and well. Her grandson, James Duckworth, is an Australian tennis professional.
