Do you want to add any in as nominations FW?

Let me know by 10, and re Haas. They all pass muster.

Not that I think any of them have a cat's chance, nor that I've checked they weren't eliminated in earlier rounds but if it's names you need...

Hemri Lecomte
Vitas Gerulaitis
Ilie Nastasie
Buster Mottram
Jeremy Bates
Bunny Austin

Tracy Austin
Martina Hingis
Maria Sharapova
Coco Gauff
Anna Kournikova
Jennifer Capriati

Just Bunny Austin and Anna Kournikova are possible. All the redt have been in some event.

If we go as far back to include Bunny Austin thrn I imsgine we include Fred Perry.

Jon mentioned Anna Kournikova but as yet she has not been nominated.

Has Tommy Haas featured in any?

If not ( and surprisingly to me he never made a slam final ) then I'd nominate or second Haas.

Good of FW to throw lots of names out,  do you want to formally nominate any? Otherwise I'll leave them out.

Just for due process !

Ok, you know what I'll include all of FW'S list and Haas and Anna K. Its the weekend and If no one likes them they'll get knocked out!

I'll work out some polls to sort out the voting and post them but later. Grr. My Saturday night just got harder.

I count that we have 10 womens nominations to make 3 Wildcats, 9 mens for 4. I'll have two straight polls and see where it takes us.

I can see some problems with my own suggestion before I make it, and its not something that I'd want to see too much of, but...

What about a least-favourite poll?

(Mac for one wouldn't mind - it'd give him a shot at both titles)

I'm aware that these guys and gals are celebs, and working hard for our entertainment, but some of them have made careers and millions of dollars out of playing the panto villain.

But I for one am most interested in a Week 1 GS result if certain players - Roger/Rafa/Nova/Serena - lose. I can still forgive Maria a certain amount for the look on Serena's face when she lost to a skinny 17 yo in the Wimb final.

To my mind, there are several really great champions who arent doing well in the favourites list - Martina N, BJK, Sampras, Borg, Serena, Roger, Rafa, Novak. I'd be interested to learn which of these has caused the most sheer tedium to fellow readers, and how much that counts against them, compared to the hyped-up outrages of Kyrgios/Nastase/McEnroe.

"A sensational first day at Wimbledon as leading seed _______ is hiumiliated by a fantastic display by a wildcard". Fill in your fantasy blank.

Well, maybe one for the future!!

I will let someone run with it, might be fun - meanwhile, I have got a job on my hand with  all these nominations!

My fantasy came true on the day that the gloriously talented Dustin Brown beat the spectacularly obnoxious Nadal!
