Of course, some of the percentages might be affected by who else is in any particular group but some clear favourites do appear to have emerged so far.
MEN
There were 207 votes overall. Taking top 4 and ties means 45 players qualify for the next round. Interesting to see the number of qualifiers holding onto their support base except for Josh Ward-Hibbert.
See each page for detailed qualifiers.
The second round will consist of 5 groups of 9 players with a random draw.
WOMEN
There were 212 votes overall. Taking top 4 and ties means 43 players qualify. As there will be an unbalanced draw anyway, I am going to put through the only other player with 1 vote so that makes 44. This means that all players who got a vote are still in. Again interesting to see the number of players from qualifying still going strong.
See each page for detailed qualifiers.
The second round will therefore consist of 4 groups of 9 players and 1 group of 8 with a random draw.
Aiming to get both draws up later this afternoon.

So far in this R2, there have been 100 mens votes and 91 womens; which is the other way around to R1. Funny how it works out, either some are finding it harder to vote on the womens groups this time and biding their time or perhaps are less inspired - the mens groups all have 20 votes, the womens all have less than that.
I wonder if a few are still hanging on to make a last minute vote in the groups where they have a split choice to make sure all their favourites go through.

I guess we will find out in the morning.
Polls close 10am!
Thing is, though, they cant see current votes if theyve not voted, so its playing a game of dice to take that approach!

They can read the comments though, which can be a bit of a give away.
Is that right though? I think if you havent logged in, you can see the votes that have been cast even if you havent already voted.
if you havent logged in? Mine automatically logs in so I cant comment, but I have never been able to see the votes until I vote...maybe it is set differently for different people?

That is if u make a habit of logging in and out all the time... which I must admit I don't do very often.. so I can only see the vote when voted, and would think the same applies to many... It's good fun though thanks!
Might be down to my general approach to things then as typically I dont stay logged into any site when I am not using it. So therefore I do log in and out at various times.
That is strange. If you couldn't see votes at all unless you'd voted, then it could be a totally blind vote (which would stop tactical voting) - but that would rely on no-one posting on how the voting is going.
Good job it's only a bit of fun!
Thanks for all your efforts Brittak. The amount of work gone into this by yourself, and indeed others (JonH, Indi) on previous polls is enormous and hugely appreciated.
