When doing the mens draw, I have noticed an error that the eagle-eyed amongst you might spot!
Nick Gould did actually play Davis Cup (a dead rubber) and therefore should have been in this round anyway. However as he only got one vote in qualifying (and that was from me!), I don't think it fair to bring him back in.
So, this leaves a space, which for a bit of fun, goes to Marcus Willis. He was in my original list but I then took him out as I realised he had regained a doubles ranking earlier this year so I wasn't sure whether he should therefore be eligible. Anyhow, thought it would be interesting to see how he gets on so he is in group 1.
This is now knockout.
Top 4 from each group to qualify for second round.
Ps I've decided once this event is over (june didnt you say?!), I'll do a favourite foreign players event, non current and non GB.
I've worked out criteria but I'll keep back for now. But I'll do it on open era forwards as brittak has done. I'm going to aim at similar number of players to this, obviously harsher criteria required as there are so many players !

Was good fun and interesting to hear about some of the players from further back about whom I had zero knowledge. My votes certainly leaned much more towards more recent players who I knew about.
Looking at my picks I think I know who will be my final women's pick if she reaches the final. My men's is much more in doubt still.
Also changed the Alex Ward pic and thrown one of JWH in too, given his high popularity in Qualies here.
Thanks to Brittak. Tracking down these photos has brought back some wonderful memories for me. Just Hilts and Greg to go, picture wise. I am sure I have snapped them both somewhere.
