Yes, I had in my mind one player for this but when it came to my final vote and I thought now who really is my favourite to watch and want to do well, I switched. To Jo.
I voted for Thiem in one fo the earlier rounds but in the light of his comments opposing the proposal to support lower ranked players I wouldn't do so again. Not that it affected my choice here as I was always going for Delpo.

Yes, not sure that did him any favours in the public eye, Nick K wasnt entirely supportive either. it is hard one though, when someone like Djokovic puts something out there like this, I suspect it is hard on the other players - you probably feel pressure to support the idea, even if you have some reservations but if you speak against it, you will hurt your own profile. It is interesting the ones who stay quiet - unless I missed it, Roger, Rafa and Andy all stayed quiet about it and I suspect that it is easier to say nothing than to appear to be going against something.
The thing is that a lot of players will be giving a lot of money (more money) to charity or causes than they are being asked to give to this and they may well have concerns at being backed into the corner on something, whatever the wrongs and rights of it. Some reporters have raised lots of issues, which isnt to say it isnt well meaning and intended, just that it can often create a lots more consequences than it solves.
