I'll happily own up and admit to voting in the women's section but not the men's - years ago I decided that I preferred to watch women's three set matches to men's five sets, as I could see a lot more matches that way (and I often found myself getting bored on lengthy men's matches), so I felt that although I do take some interest in the men's game, I did not have the expertise to vote. Looks like there was probably one other person who voted in the women's section but not the men's.
Hi Andy - no worries, it is just a game and you can whatever works best for you - I would just say it is a poll about favourites though, so doesnt require any knowledge other than who do you like the best - it may be you only know one or two players and that is fine, feel free to vote for them!
The womens semis are over now, the mens semis still on until 4.30 and there is time to vote if you want to!
I wondered if anyone was surprised by this WTA final list. 5 Brits is possibly to be expected on a British board, not sure any of them surprised me in particular, I thought maybe Sam Murray would get through? In the non Brits list, Petra Martic surprised me a little, and maybe Ostapenko but I am not entirely up with who is popular in the womens game more widely...
I was really pleased to see the finalists - my three favourite Brits who were entered made it through and my two favourite foreign players. I think one of the surprises would be how few votes Serena Williams polled - I was a little sad about that, but that said I didn't vote for her (so I certainly can't complain). Had Katie Boulter, Naomi Broady or Aranxta Rus been there, I would certainly have voted for them (and it made it easier that only one of my favourite four was in the competition). I wasn't surprised Ostapenko polled quite well - she is a very emotional player to watch on court, and her matches are seldom dull.
Petra Martic is also a massively under-rated player, who always raises her game at Grand Slams - a player for the big occasion - it is nice to see others appreciate her too.
I wonder who will win the final - looks wide open.

Into the mens final we have 9 players also. 4 Brits in this one. Listing in ranking order (based on SF %age and singles ranking where tied)
Andy Murray 47.6%
Dan Evans 33.3%
Roger Federer 23.8%
Dominic Thiem 14.3%
Nick Kyrgios 14.3%
Kyle Edmund 14.3%
Joe Salisbury 14.3%
Gael Monfils 9.5%
Stan Wawrinka 9.5%
Should be a good final - pleasantly surprised to see Joe S make it through, that was good to see. The overseas players are probably largely to be expected,I wasnt sure how much support Thiem would have but he did ok, and pleased to see Nick K into the final.
This will be a tough one!
And of course Andy still going for a double with Wimbledon Invitational and Dan going for a double with his British Favourite Player title which he took by one or two votes from Andy
We have now had 376 votes (195 womens, 181 mens) across the 20 polls, so 18.8 average across the event.
Would be great to see that beaten in the final - remember in the British Favourite Player poll final, we ended up with 38 votes in total, so we can get there! The more votes, the more authentic the result is!

Andy Murray 47.6% + 55.6% = 103.2 Dan Evans 33.3% + 38.9% = 72.2 Roger Federer 23.8% + 33.3% = 57.1 Dominic Thiem 14.3% + 22.2% = 36.5 Nick Kyrgios 14.3% + 33.3% = 47.6 Kyle Edmund 14.3% + 29.4% = 43.7 Joe Salisbury 14.3% + 50% = 64.3 Gael Monfils 9.5% + 38.9 = 48.4 Stan Wawrinka 9.5% + 22.2% = 31.7
Just adding to this with the score from round 1 to give wider context so far - Andy has clearly done well so far in his groups, as has Dan and indeed Joe. Stan and Dominic probably need a little rocket fuel!
As an aside, my aim with these was to try and find the Boards favourite players, full stop. Not international but GB and international combined. Clearly it ends up with a GB bias...
So, thanks for all taking part. I have done several of these now and will be busy with work the next few weeks, probably through end May, so at this stage am bowing out from organising more of these.
I hope they have entertained, probably frustrated a few of you, but hope you have enjoyed them.
Indy is picking up the cudgel and running with a poll next I believe, so please take part in that, I certainly will!

Thanks for all your efforts Jon. I am amazed if you have got any work done in the last couple of weeks given the amount of time you must have put into these polls.
