Someone for the mens ?

The good old-style way!

I dont know, Bagel, you join this forum, and boy do you put the cat among the pigeons?! Are you being paid by Mens tennis Forums to cause mayhem and destruction everywhere else!?

Just kidding, thanks for joining in and helping out and welcome to the forum by the way!

No offence taken! Thank you JonH for the welcome and for giving us such an entertaining event. I wonder when British players were actually last so well represented in           the Wimbledon quarters?

Keeps me amused - just so long as my clients dont spot this is me "wasting time" whilst I am supposedly working from home!

When were British players so well represented? Well the ladies must be Wade and Barker in 1977 and fhe men was Rusedski anc Henman in either 1996 or 1997.

Waking on this sunny morning and we have a feast of great tennis.

To keep it fun, I'm going to put the matches up in pairs rather than 4 at a time. So 2 around 11 am, 1 pm, 3 pm and then 5 pm.

Starting around 11 will be the first listed womens and mens, and so on through the day, all completing tomorrow 24 hours after each starts.

Have fun.

In round one, we had a total of 248 votes across the 16 polls, averaging 15.5 per poll, ranging from 12 for zverev v tsitsipas to 19 for thiem v Evans. Thanks for taking part so far and it would be great to improve that as the event unfolds, remember we are effectively only half way!

Quarterfinals will take place through late tomorrow.

Semis thursday evening through friday evening and final will be Saturday through until sunday, all 24 hours duration.

Yes but with all Nadal's time-wasting I can't see the BBC being able to show the Barty-Konta match from the start assuming both matches are on Centre!

Ladies matches proving the exciting ones in the qfs. Still plenty of time. A fantastic 120 votes placed so far, excellent, and plenty of time for more.

Womens matches all very close today. I'll post results as they come in today. Last match finishes at 5 pm or maybe 6 with an extension so I'll ask for help with semis draws this evening . Semis polls will go up tomorrow then in two batches of 2 to run Friday to Saturday. Finals saturday evening to sunday evening.

Thanks Jon for continuing to provide the entertainment for now!

Think we need to get you on the LTA tournaments committee for the future... They could do with someone that can exercise a little more imagination in how to get players and audiences involved!!
