Redraw controversy in new Wimbledon Invitational.

Open draw, but when it produces a heavyweight contest it mysteriously manages to annul itself

Just remember, I'll count all votes for each player ie 3-0 plus 3-1 plus 3-2. The score will be the most popular one

Eg

10 people vote on McEnroe versus Borg

Mac 3-0 1 vote

Mac 3-1 2 votes

Mac 3-2 3 votes

Borg 3-0 0 votes

Borg 3-1 0 votes

Borg 3-2 4 votes

Mac wins the match 6 votes to 4 and the score is 3-2 to Mac as that was the most popular score for him.

The Right Honourable Lady, in her very carefully worded statement, assures us that no money changed hands.
But, what, I ask, about goods and services? Can the hard-working British people be assured that no Duck Houses were built, or moats cleaned on a nudge and a wink?
I think we should be told!
(ominous murmurings from the benches)

Also note, I'll let folks do their own research on players history, grass form, head to heads rather than post those myself

Many thanks for giving us a new event to enjoy Jon. A question for you-generally would you like us to vote for who we would like to win or for who we would expect to win? I know the lines are often blurred!

Ah ha like tennis in the real world , it is so unpredictable so I will let folks decide who they vote for, for their own reasons!

Like the champion of champions event, people chose their own path!

Ultimately it's a bit of fun!

Hope that helps Telstar,  or maybe it doesn't!

I'd probably started with asking people who they'd expect to win, but in tennis, crowd support makes a difference, home town players cause upsets, someone can feel off on the day, and if you have a strong feeling for someone for whatever reason, and because you like them is fine, then go with it.

Let me assure everyone that the fact we took delivery this afternoon of a new gym for the hamster is purely coincidental.

I understand the committee are dropping all charges, Jan, you can rest easy but I'd be careful as your future operations could well be monitored closely. I'd cancel the order for the new furniture in the conservatory,  just in case.

Kenin v Halep

Osaka v Barty

Thiem v Evans selected by BBC as prime time live match

Berretini v Djokovic

MONDAY (like this schedule!)

Williams v Bertens

Watson v Kvitova selected by BBC as prime time live match.

Murray v Fognini

Goffin v Medvedev

TUESDAY ( another tasty OOP)

Bencic v Svitolina

Dart v Sabalenka

Bautista- Agut v Nadal

Edmund v Federer selected by BBC as prime time live match.

Second days matches now up as polls. Jo Konta and dan Evans selected for BBC live coverage. In a surprise move, heather Watson as opposed to andy Murray selected for tomorrows live tv match. Controversial
