Yes, quite a few ties but it is nice that all those who got 3 votes or more are through, and it is the case that all those who aren't were ultimately at least 2 votes short of progressing from their particular SF groups.

So we are almost 18 months on from this poll for our favourite British player and it struck me that a lot of water has passed under the bridge since then. A lot!

Some new names have come in to spice things up and others come to the fore and achieved lots more than they had 18 months ago.

So I plan to do a 2021 version of this poll for the boards favourite !

I spot a window in mid to late November after Atp and wta season closes so will aim to do it around that time.

I will probably include around 75 players - 20 mens singles , 20 womens singles, 10 mens doubles , 10 womens doubles, and then Ill take 5 of our top boys, 5 girls , and 5 from our wheelchair players.

I might of course adapt that but it should work.

So anyone who likes polling - for our favourite British player - look out for more news in due course!

 Decided Im going to put this up for voting tomorrow night and run it through the weekend. 75 players in 15 groups of 5; then 30 in 5 groups of 6; then 10 in the 2 semis groups, and a final 4. If I post the first round tomorrow Thursday , itll all close Monday night! 

look out for it!
