Champion of Champions - Mens Event Match Four - Rafa Nadal versus Rod Laver - HARD

Our final mens quarterfinal pitches Rafa versus Rod, another mouthwatering match.

This is on hardcourt. Rafa , of course, is the greatest ever on clay and some think the greatest full stop. The clay master has 19 slams, but of those 5 of them are on hardcourt surfaces in Australia or US. He does also have 5 slam RU positions on hardcourt. And he won the US Open just a few months ago.

Rod Laver is also thought by some to be the greatest - he won two GRANDSLAMS after all and 11 slam titles in total spread over an amateur and professional career during the 60's. He was also won 8 Pro Slam titles during a period when the Pro Tour was the strongest, but all of these where on wood or clay.

Rod is nothing but doughty competitor, he was called the Rockhampton Rocket, and would be a match for anyone at anytime!

Vote for this will close circa 11 am Thursday! Enjoy!

With these 2, Borg, Sampras and Federer left we have all of the dominant players from the Open era of tennis left, Djoko aside. Whoever wins this event could well be a true Champion of Champions!

So, gonna call this, and Rod Laver causes the upset and gets an 8-4 win over Rafa Nadal; great win for him and onto a SF match Borg starting tomorrow!
