But Lui's opponent is from quite a tennis family.  Although his parents were not tennis players, his dad's brothers certainly were - one, John, a high level college coach at Oklahoma for many years and the other, Andy, a former world #1.  Probably had a lot of top level advice and support!

Thanks - I wondered if he was any relation to Andy, but hadn't checked.  JC was a semifinalist in his last event - a Grade 1 - so not a loss for Lui to be concerned about. Derrick's was more disappointing, as his opponent was replaced by a Lucky Loser with modest record.  American opposition for all in round 2 - Max's opponent has also reached a Grade 1 semi this year

Boys R2

(Q) Max Basing v (8) Jack Anthrop (USA)

Azuma Visaya (USA) v (7) Toby Samuel

Girls R2

Jaedan Brown (USA) v (13) Jasmine Conway
