A link to some worrying news about covid vaccines.

Thank  you Miriambee for this link.    It may contain statistics that  are somewhat massaged to prove a point, just as governments and Who's statistics are also 'presented' to back up their current agenda/hypopthesis.   So much inaccuracy on all sides.    But I really do not like this agenda to gag all detractors.   No one knows for sure the long term effects of these current types of vaccines and  I for one know quite a few people who are suffering  currently from their effects and one very seriously.      Furthermore we all know   know numerous people who are double, triple vaxxed but still got this latest variant  so why the unvaxxed should be treated like lepers I really don't understand.

Thank you,  I agree. My son triple vaxxed got covid worse than me, but neither of us were seriously ill nor do I deny that covid has caused a lot of deaths and long term side effects.

I won't quote the above again. But 'so much inaccuracy on both sides' is completely wrong. Vaccines work, we should all have them, unless clear medical reason not to. Covid risk far worse than risk of side effects as shown in proper clinical trials. Not anecdotal statements which may as well be listening to some bloke down the pub....such as 'smoking isn't bad for you cos my neighbour smoked 60 a day and lived to 95'... Yes, side effects of vaccines are possible but much much more likely are serious effects of covid. The problem with online sources is that people give them legitimacy they don't deserve, I repeat that website is completely irresponsible, unscientific, scaremongering and wrong. There is a risk in everything we do....we drive cars, cycle, whatever, because the benefit of going somewhere outweighs our risk of accident etc. We really need to be better educated on risk and benefit and not promote misinformation about vaccines.

Might be the same one but no paywall - and pretty harrowing:

No Chinese tournaments again, unsurprisingly.

Italy have a couple of the new singles year events in Florence and Naples; tel aviv also and Gijon in Spain gets one. San Diego and Korea stand out a little as outside the main European hub area.

Shame Britain couldnt pitch for an ATP 250 indoors as part of this. Or maybe we did ?

Well at least he withdrew before the main draw was made, but why on earth did he have to wait until after qualifying had started. It was obvious that they weren't going to change the rules in time to let him into the US. I preume that means a lucky loser spot in the main draw, but I pity whoever missed out on qualies by one place.

Indeed - I dont know the details but there seems to be some sort of loop hole around arriving by sea or land in a winnebago or some weird thing and folks speculated that Djokos team may have been investigating that until it got closed down by someone

ridiculous he waited so long though

This is primarily about Bianca A but it's also a lot about covid, lockdown and all the impact on tennis and players:
