Sadly no singles progress here this week and no points. A really lousy draw it was for Freya. Amarni can also be encouraged, but she will be disappointed at the same time too, since she needs just one more counter to gain a WTA ranking.

They may be given a walkover as Marinkovic has retired from her singles match, so maybe no match practice but a more winnable doubles next round, and more doubles points, or if the match happens the 2nd seeds will not be at their best. Cavalle=Reimers has just completed a 3 set singles too.

There are already five blanks in the draw - presumably players leaving the country. Doubles matches not scheduled until later today, so have to check back.

No walkover, but they were given a lesson and a double-bagel in 41 minutes.
