Gabi breaks, serves for the match for the second time - gets broken to love.

TB, goes down *2-4, brings it back to 4-4* and then again at *5-5... faces a first MP, saves it 6-6*, but has another against her and does not save this.

After being 3-1 up in the second and seemingly going well, this was a very spasmodic and nervy performance, like a misfiring car. Net result is that once again Gabi has failed to make a W15 SF and to continue the metaphor, the car looks like it needs a lot more servicing still.

Shame. With her not being in the W15 next week, I had wondered if she might have got a MDWC into Sunderland (not that she'd be going into it in any form), but I see she us still down for the French W25 (quals), which is significantly stronger.

Vismane is currently in Sunderland quals, so not sure if she'd be eligible for one of the 2 SEs if she went on to make the final here, with Tunisia not part of Europe. Emma got a W25 SE for making an Israel W15 final last year, but Israel is considered part of Europe in tennis, and other sports.

All the hallmarks of a player very low on confidence who has far all intents and purposes forgotten how to win. Yes she's had a few wins in Tunisia but has she really got anything positive out of the weeks she has been there except for perhaps some time on court and getting some match fitness.
