Emily just slipped out of the seedings, was eighth on the acceptance list.

Their current ranking is not disimilar and her opponent hasn't won that many matches recently. Though her CH is much higher that is 2 years old. Maybe she has been injured?

 

I'm not having a go at Anna or anyone really but we keep on saying this sort of thing in many tournaments. At some point our women have to step up and actually beat this type of opponent.

 To draw a ranked opponent in a 15k qr1 is tough (and unusual) when Anna has her own ranking. Normally you would expect an unranked player.  Only have the ranked players in qr2.
