Unconfirmed rumours Kyle withdrew after learning he faced a top 50 player in the first round.....
Lol !
Maybe Edmund beat a donkey in New York as it looked to me that Seppi couldn't move properly. Edmund will typically cough up a string of unforced errors when engaged in backhand crosscourt rallies and that for once didn't happen. Seppi, being the consumate pro he is, was putting a brave face on it imo and going through the motions. Just a thought.
Magnificent win for Cam, 20 odd places higher ranked opponent than any of the opponents played by last weeks tournament winner. Hes been out of form recently so hopefully he can go on and take back the GB number 2 spot. Possible we could have 3 top 50 players fingers crossed.

At the end of the day you can only beat who is across the net from you and he did that taking full advantage regardless of the relatively poor field. The other 250 tournaments also had a few challenger players taking big points.
4 withdrawals in delray beach, kyle and seppi and nick k is out. Field wide open for someone to take advantage. 4 lucky losers doesn't look good though. 2 out in Rio and 1 in marseille also and several doubles withdrawals...
