Absolutely gutted for Billy. He had all the momentum going into the rain break yesterday.

In the other SF, Geens is serving for the match and Billy beat him easily over here in Cartagena a couple of years Back. So this was a real chance for Billy to not only make his first final, but also to go on and win a title.

Aww gutted about that, I also assumed he had won when I saw the scores yesterday. He had some great wins, hopefully will continue the upward curve. Certainly top 500 ability there, maybe more.

I have watched Billy a lot, live.  When he is "on it", he definitely has the ability to go Top 500.  But he does tend to go away mentally on occasions, which costs him.  I know when I watched him a couple of years back in Gandia (I think) just north of Alicante, he once again had match point in an early round, but lost, while his opponent went on to win the tournament.

I just feel if he could get there once, it would do his confidence the world of good. I really thought this would be the one.  I see that Geens, from the other SF, went on to win the title.  Billy beat him 2&4 when he played him in Cartagena. So he definitely has it in him to win these tournaments.
