Conceivably only doubles - the singles draw has yet to appear.

L16:  (WC) James Hopper (*) & Nico Mostardi (USA) UNR vs (2) Nam Ji Sung & Song Min-Kyu (KOR/KOR) CR 216 (102+114)  bleh

James Hopper was born in the UK, but moved to the US when young. He goes to Case Western Reserve University.

Rodionov is currently playing Kudla in the final of the Dallas Challenger, so that could be a baptism of fire for Mr Hopper.

Watched the tail end of the match. Rodionov won but looked out on his feet by the end. If I was a betting man (which I am not) I might put a quid on James playing a LL in the end after a withdrawal from Rodionov.

Time will tell.

I did, in fact, make two completely contrasting predictions, so in a way I was hedging my bets. wink

My comment was based on the first one.  I don't think actually saw/read the second, as I have no recollection of the Lucky Loser remark!  confuse

Lloyd & Alex's opponents beat the #3 seeds in R1.

SF:  Lloyd Glasspool & Alex Lawson (USA) CR 369 (212+157) vs (1) Luke Saville & John-Patrick Smith (AUS/AUS) CR 142 (39+103)

Lloyd will be pushing up his doubles ranking to another CH. His 29 ponts so far have him showing as live ranked #204. Very tough looking test now though.

That looks a very good effort in the SF by Lloyd & Alex. They are looking promising as a pair.
