Week 6 - ITF (W25) Grenoble, France Hard

Yes, pretty easy really. The stats show that Katie had 42 service points in 8 games, against 80 in 9 games for her opponent.

18 points so far, worth about 40 places in the rankings, but more important, good match practice before the bigger events to come.

Burel it is who had an even easier win than Katie did. As CD has noted she is a former JWR 1. Still on her current showings so far this tournament, I'm sure Katie must be the heavy favourite to make the final.

SF: BOULTER, Katie (GBR) 439 vs Clara BUREL (FRA) [WC] UNR/427 (CH:477 Feb 19) 18yrs (JCH:1 Oct 18)

I'd certainly take Katie to win but it will be interesting to see thr odds at this stage. They were much tighter fhan I expected vs Desperrier even allowing for her beating Sam and the other earlier information.

Did well to come back in the MTB but couldn't clinch it. I think it was 5-8*

Did have one MP and saved 2 as both paiirs latterly struggled to win service points, before losing the *11-12 point.

A few of the bigger sites on there. Katie seems to generally be 1.40, so roughly 2/5, and Burel will generally be 7/4.

I know they are typical matching paired odds with Bet365.

But so good to see Katie get a seemingly very comfortable win, over a little known opponent who must have something about her. Good signs.

Still on serve, but they did exchange early breaks, and a BP coming up for KB...
