I keep forgetting that Denisa Allertova has changed her name to Satralova, but she was the top seed and is out. 2nd seed Sam's currently in a bit of bother, 5th seed Perin out, and 3rd seed Tan has dropped the first set (but is up a break in the 2nd), so it's opening up a bit.
Katie could have a GB of sorts route through, or a string of opponents that are more known on here than what they'd normally be. Tara's ex partner in R1. UK based Lily M is a potential R2 opponent who has a 50/50 R1 match, and if Sam can turn hers around, that could be a potential QF.

So sorry, Ace. I've seen her name once or twice but know absolutely nothing about her.....Will try and look her up....
No worries, I'm intrigued. Had she have had a CH of say 137 7 or 8 years ago then packed in, you might have understood it, but I've never heard her name mentioned, never saw it on Tennisforum, absolutely nothing, yet here she is in the twilight of her career, playing her best stuff (a bit like Sam I guess), but I was surprised to see her a pre match 1/2 fave against a solid 200 player, but so far (2-6 *0-1), those odds were more than justified.
I read up a bit on her anyway
Seems she was very good at 18, say, but didn't adapt well to travel, the pro life, and went back to uni, enjoyed that, carried on playing high level team and domestic events, then qualified as a coach, loves that, has a couple of very promising players, still plays a lot (beat a top 200 player in league tennis, she plays for grenoble but lives in Lyon, I think) but doesn't travel much outside her area.

It is Gaelle Desperrier up next for Katie, who beat her fellow qualifier 6-3 6-1 in 1 hr 8 m, to go with that aforementioned 1 hr 6m match yesterday, so is making light work of it thus far.
Interesting match, and it'll be interesting to see the odds as well.
