Annoyingly they switched off the stream for Em starting her doubles.

 

But losing two deuce points means they are quickly *1-4 down

I was watching for the stream to start as well !

Match tie break just ran away. Lost 6 points in a row at the start and that was it.

 

Lose 62 46 10-3

Shame, tough opponents but hopefully they can get a win next week. Be good to get this season going in this period with nothing to defend, had a good shot at making the semis here.

Yes, on to Nicholasville. Em might not make qualifying, but Sofia is in.

It's a pity, but no damage done to her ranking although a backup couner of 25 points would have been nice.

Yes, with all the points she has coming off from April on back-ups could be good to have. But let's hope for some good times in the coming weeks.

FWIW, with Heather and Eden having big points due off on 24/02 ( gross 180 and 105 respectively ) the recuperating Naomi and Em could soon be our doubles #1 and #2 ranked. Em WR 144 is currently 37 points behind Naomi WR 133 with neither having points to defend before April ( Naomi - early May ).

EWS needs 29 to be a counter, but anything above 1 would be a non-counter. No "real" points off until Aprill so essentially a "free hit".
