As a top 10 player joe will qualify and gets to select partner. Jamie has indicated he would play with neal, although not guaranteed. Joe and andy, ?
Or 2 pairs from those 4 at least.
If Andy is not fit, Jonny O or Luke ?

If we pick 4 doubles players we can only pick 2 singles players as team is a max of 6. Of course we might only have 2 singles players qualified and wanting to play so it might not matter. Or we could decide doubles is more chance of a medal so let's pack that.
Well that's the thing, how do you prove you were available. There are rules around where if there are players ranked ahead of you but I think Neal was behind him for the finals. I know common sense would be Neal & Jamie are a regular pair and that's why they were picked but based on the strict application of the rules, I'm not sure.
What I do hope is that our potential mixed doubles pairs have plans to ferociously practice together to try to be all they can be in the white-hot competitive atmosphere of Olympic Mixed Doubles.
If the rules prevented Joe from participating then the rules would be not fit for purpose.
Maybe when the put the teams together its assumed they'd say yes and be available unless they actually say no. So say Jack draper came through and won the French from qualies, and got a ranking high enough by June 8th, he clearly would never have been picked for davis cup prior to that date, so they'd have to assume hed have said yes and been available to be picked if asked?
