Other events - week 3

In the second event in UAE, this time Imogen came up short (maybe tired from exertions of last week?)

But Sophya got a win today in R1.

Lara Bakhaya plays tomorrow.

Sophya had a nice rise last week - due for another this week? I no longer remember the scoring for Juniors.

Found it on Wiki - couldn't find it on the ITF site disbelief

Both Sophya and Lara lost their R2 matches in UAE.

In Bosnia & Herz., G5, Luca McManus was top seed, won his R1 match but also lost out in R2

However, unseeded Mattias Southcombe has won two rounds.

Dean Cooper Kirby, though, lost in R1. As did Daniela Kotara (age 14), although by a whisker (and she's won a dubs match).

In Israel, J4, Patrick Brady is into the QFs, having won two matches.

Young Jaquelyn Ogunwale (age 14, seeded 5) won her R1 match but lost in R2

In Israel, J4, Patrick Brady lost out in three sets in the QF.

But our own Jackie O has made it into the finals of the doubles

In Bosnia & Herz., G5, an excellent win by Mattias Southcombe over the 4th seed, 6-4 6-2, sees him into the SFs.

Luca Mcmanus and Mattias have also made the finals of the doubles (Dean+ lost in their SF)

Despite losing her 2nd round match Sophyia still gets 5 points for it at G4 which should a nice jump up for her.

Lara Bakhaya should also gain a few places biggrinbiggrin

There's a sticky thread at the top of the junior section started by Bob in Spain which gives the points available for the various grades of competition.   I think it is the one part of the ITF which hasn't changed in the last year or so.

The points allocations did change last year.

I too couldn't find a link to them on the revamped ITF site but from wikipedia :
