Yes very good win. I thought she looked in control throughout. A minor dip in the second set when she lost her serve with a few unforced errors, but came back strong again at the end.
More good news! Well done Ms. Dart. Gibbs is a good yardstick for where Harriet will be aiming initially - a solid 60-120 performer for several years now (and a storied college career), and the sort of match that, if Harriet is to meets her potential and ambition, the sort of player she'll need to be getting the better of week in, week out, more often than not.
This is a good level from Dart, and if she can maintain it, she has every chance at cracking the Top 100 at some point in 2020.
A few good wins down under, and the sun seems a bit brighter, and the edge has gone off the chill in the wind, and a bit of a spring in my step. Valuable pick-me-up service these players provide to us poor schlebs that follow them! Keep it coming!
Disappointing about Sam, looking good until she was broken at 4-4 in the 2nd after that 30-0 love up.
Great win though for Harriet showing she is very much in a class above the other two. In her FQR she plays the Italian, Gatto-Monticone, who is 32 but achieved her CH only last July, so credit to her. It looks a good match up, but fancy Harriet to win and qualify.

I was a little surprised that most people have Harriet at or below this years ranking. She made it through qualifying in both the Slams she entered and 3rd round Wimbledon on her WC albeit with a pretty good draw so certainly somewhere around 100 would be realistic.
