I watched that and really enjoyed it. Harriet grew into the game and by the end of the first set was playing beautifully. Think I want to revise my predictions already!!

Stats appear to show she was playing quite aggressively. I love Harriet, there is no doubt she can play, she just needs a little more power and a better serve and top 50 is a possibility. She definitely has the attitude to progress further.

Thats good news, good to see that win; so Harriet and Sam left as the only reps in qualies. Presumably Sam is playing tomorrow, will Harriet be back on tomorrow?

Nope, I think the schedule is

T - 32 Q1 matches (including Harriet and Naiktha)

W - The other 32 Q1 matches (including Sam)

T - 32 Q2 matches (including Harriet, and hopefully Sam)

F - 16 FQR matches (hopefully including both)

Well done Harriet, I'm dissapointed that I couldn't watch as I was on the way to work. Bit of a battle coming up in QR2 against Nicole Gibbs, but it's one she can win.

The remainder of the QR1 matches are tomorrow, Wed, so that's when Sam plays. Harriet's next match will presumably be on Thursday.

QR1: Samantha MURRAY SHARAN (GBR) 217 vs Yue YUAN (CHN) 221=CH
QR1: Naiktha BAINS (GBR) 200 lost to Valeria SAVINYKH (RUS) 205 (CH:99 April 12) 2-6 2-6
QR1: Harriet DART (GBR) 169 def Elitsa KOSTOVA (BUL) 194 (CH:130 Sept 16) 6-4 6-1

QR2: Harriet DART (GBR) 169 vs Nicole GIBBS (USA) [q15] 123 (CH:68 July 16)

Heavy rain in Melbourne means play is suspended. Sam's match is one of many to be rescheduled.

Well that's good for the bushfires at least, I don't think anyone will mind a rain postponement now!
