The second oldest tournament in the US. Initially not a 'college' tournament, however D1 college teams started entering after it stopped being a pro tour event. Entry still consists of former touring pros, local players, top juniors as well as D1 mostly West Coast college teams. Due to the tournaments history this is still a prestigious title to win.
Brits include Luke Hammond #6 (Oaklahoma SU) out 1st round, through to R16 (not paired) are Ben Draper #7 (Cal), Jack Malloy (Cal)
Looks like the end of year NCAA team and individual tennis championships, due to be held in May, will not be happening now. Probable that intercollegiate matches will now be halted and uni lectures will go online. It's looking like a very different end to the collegiate year 2019-20.

These rankings are flawed. Emily Arbuthnott for instance....
As Oakie said a few posts ago, they aren't a true reflection
Not all bad for Emily she has got an outstanding education, most likely formed some lifelong friendships and been a multiple national team champion. A real blow for those that went mainly for the sport particular those who need a Stella senior year to showcase their talent to get drafters and go pro eg the basketball and baseball players, the footballers have dodged it (tennis less of an issue) and I hope they get the 5th year of eligibility there is a president in that injured players can grey shirt take a year to recover from their injury and not loose their eligibility.
I'm short on original thought, so am repeating what EP has done, for the women. I've also added UTRs, which interestingly have dropped pretty much for all, especially if they'd been playing regularly before going to the US.

Tp I liked your addition of UTR to the womens data I only have access to rounded data which isnt particularly useful.....Having gained an extra year of eligibility, I wonder if any of these players are contemplating a 5th year at college (maybe Masters/MBA)?
Article on international athletes retuning home from college - my son has been self isolating since his return. College courses are continuing online, but no tennis is difficult....
