Ah, thanks Indy, Adelaide seemingly didn't count JonH.

Ah, doesn't it? I was just going to say - good point about Adelaide. Anyway, not 10 points or 3 counters.

I'm not sure, haha. I was just going off your post smile. I was looking at the WTA rulebook and though she might have got a point for that, but wasn't fully sure with her being a QWC, but as you say, definitely not 3 counters, so she'll have to wait a while longer.

Just to clarify, Marni did get 1 pt for Adelaide. So she has 7 pts and 2 counters. One more counter will get her a WTA ranking.

OER gives Marni a point for Adelaide, making 7 in total. Whether they are right or not is open to debate !

Edit - took me all that time to look it up on my tablet, and then the page froze

Emma-Marni is 2nd on from 10am tomorrow, and Jodie-Lily follows that.

Billy Harris has just beaten Lloyd G, so Emma and Marni will be starting soon. The sky doesn't look great mind.

Have you been having more 10p's on Jodie CD? Last night it was 4/6 vs 11/10 (Jodie) at Bet365, now it's 3/10 vs 12/5. Again, doesn't mean too much, but a fairly significant change, nevertheless.

The battle of the young'uns is underway.

Yesterday, I got 2.0 to beat Naomi (I do decimals, fractions confuse me confuse) - and actually put £2 in total !

But today, I only get 1.3 to beat Lily, which seems a little skinny (Lily is one of those pesky players who are trickier than they look like they're going to be)

But I put 20p on all the same smile

I'm the opposite. I'm so used to fractions with it generally being the most commonly used here, that anything else seems wrong, ha. I've started getting more into MMA now, and those +180 American type odds makes things even more confusing.

Don't even go there, AV ::((

I need to it to be 'simples'....

The girls are playing a real humdinger - Marni being the more aggressive but, naturally, making slightly more errors. Several breaks of serve...

Emma played the better tiebreak and was just that tiddly bit more consistent, but Marni was definitely the better shot maker in that set

Emma went for her shots more in tgat second set, thank goodness, and Marni lost a bit of punch.
Emma won the second 6-1

I really enjoyed that. I love Marni's athleticism and movement around the court. I think we have two really bright prospects here.

I enjoyed that first set. Second set score was a little harh on Marni as it did go on for about 45 mins, and some of the games were tight, but not as competitive as the first. I did see Emma seemingly try to shake her knee out towards the last few points, so hopefully that's nothing.

My preferred final at the start would have been Emma v Jodie as they are probably my 2 current favourite British players, so half way to that Bolton W25 semi final rematch.

But not the best of starts 0-3*. First set has probably gone.

It's disappointing not to see Katy Dunne playing in any of these tournaments. Surely she can't still be injured? Or have I missed something?

Katy had hoped to play in the Progress Tour but had to withdraw because of recurrent injury-a great shame!

Sad to hear Katys injury has returned hmm
