Or should I say, one of them - I see Luke J is a Bobcat groupie too smile

But Billy is carrying on from yesterday, having taken the first set against Lloyd G, 6-4

Arthur Féry is currently winning easily against Jonnie G

Ail G has just got the first set, 6-4, against Mark W.

And Luke and and Alex Jhun are in a bit of a tussle but Luke seems to have snapped to a bit, after a dodgy start.

All the rankings underdogs seem to have got the quick start...

Yes, although for youngsters (like Arthur) or good college players (like Ali), rankings are never that important or useful.

Never met Luke J but he is a Leeds fan, so what more can I say.

Biggest problem I have is that Billy, Ali G and Luke J are all on court at the same time. Swapping between the three of them.

 Completely understand smile

Like you, I have a rather 'motley' group of faves, based on pretty arbitrary selection criteria ....

But your lads seem to be doing pretty well at the moment - fingers crossed

On the other hand, our Franco-tennis-football youngster, Arthur F, has wrapped up his win very convincingly over Jonnie. (Not sure Arthur seems to have grown much, though, difficult to tell but a slight worry, and strange as his mother is very tall for a woman, and his father probably above average too)

Didn't realise these matches were live streamed - missed Charlie's match cry  I like to watch the college players as I don't often get the opportunity to see them play. Eventually found a link for YouTube:

Strong finish from Billy with a break to love as he beats Lloyd 6-4 6-3

Glad you've found a catch-up link.

Yes, I'd never seen him play either and it was nice to have a game to put to a name.

I also like seeing players one hasn't seen for a while - I caught a bit of Stoute v Jhun yesterday because I remember watching both of them in 2014, 2015 and it's nice to check in with them again.

I could hear the cheer from here biggrin

Mind you, Lloyd seemed to lose interest - sort of looked a bit sulky, to be honest.... (mind you, I'm not a huge fan of the guy so maybe I misinterpreted it....)

I have never seen Charlie play either although I watched him train.  He was here in Spain with a group a few years back before he went to college.  He and Ewan Moore were being put through some serious volley drills by Leon Smith and Mark Hilton.  The drill was 20 consecutive volleys between service line and baseline.  Lost count of the number of times he and Ewan got to about 15, bombed out and had to start from zero again.  They were both knackered by the end of that one.

Only watched the final game but I got the same impression.

Boom. Loving that.

Ali v Billy in the SF.  Which way do I go ?

Sorry Ali, but I have to go with my man Billy in that one.

Luke v Arthur in the other.

Sorry Arthur. Your time will come.

Should add that these are preferences, not predictions.  Wouldn't want to jinx anybody.

Out of interest, who is generally regarded as more talented, ali or jonny gray? I see Jonny is a few hundred places higher, but in my mind I'd always thought of Ali as the stronger, but I dont really know...
