Emily' opponent could be a bit of a challenge as well.
To be honest, I was more focussing on the other Brits and only saw the current ranking of Emily's opponent, without noticing her age, JCH, or recent results, so yeah, I'd favour the youngster to win that one. Hopefully we can get at least 3 through though overall.
Odds and schedule are up now. Naiktha first on from 4am, Emily 2nd on, and then Freya, Katie B and Emma all 4th on, so probably looking at around 9.30ish for those. I don't think there are any streams unfortunately.
Naiktha 1/14 vs 13/2
Katie 1/14 vs 13/2
Freya 1/9 vs 5/1
Emma 1/4 vs 11/4
EWS 7/2 vs 1/6
So judging by that, we should hopefully get 4 through, although I don't think I'd like to back Katie at such small odds given where she is in her comeback, and Emma's opponent did win back to back W25 titles in mid-July before her aforementioned very poor recent form. Freya has most likely lost matches recently where she would have been the overwhelming favourite, and to complete the set, it wasn't too long ago that Naiktha lost about 8 matches in a row, including to much lower ranked players, so can't really take anything for granted, but it is a decent enough draw on paper, overall.
Thanks Michael. Can't access anything on the ITF site at the moment.
Yes, they've just updated it... can't say it's easier to navigate that's for sure....
Somehow on all these updates, everything that was compact before becomes enlarged and s-t-r-e-t-c-h-e-d out so you can no longer see it easily on one page...
