Toby Samuel is the highest ranked player in the main draw as qualifying gets underway today at the Wirral Tennis Centre.

Toby isn't in the draw which is here.  Luca Pow has a Special Exempt through his doubles semi, but draws the highest British seed Peter Alam (6) . William Nolan is also seeded (7) while Harry Lazell takes on the top seed

Will Nolan was turned over in a very tight and feisty match by Matthias Southcombe, who looks talented.
Matt Rutter was either winner or bust and ended up bust.
Good win for Billy Blades.
