Wish I was watching Evo now. Several breaks but Evo wins first set 7-5 and unlike yesterday consolidates on serve at the start of the second. Everything crossed.
Yep, 7 games in a row for Bublik, 7-5 4-6 *0-4. Looking like the same as yesterday, lower ranked Brit open a with a win, Evans loses the #1 match, then down to the doubles.
Bublik has just been on fire for a few games, hitting winners from everywhere. He seems like a streaky player and unfortunately he has hit a hot streak at just the wrong time.
But either way, that's now an 8th defeat in a row for Evo against players inside the top 180 since the US Open, so he's obviously not firing on all cylinders currently.
I'd obviously rather Dan had wrapped it up, as there's a reasonable chance we'll be going out, but at least 5 live sports extra will now cover the final rubber with it being live - I'm sure Gigi S said they wouldn't if it was a dead rubber. I've quite enjoyed listening to it in the office and that should probably tie into home time. I assume Bublik will be playing dubs so that'll be a 30 min break from when the singles match finished.

How can this happen again? Start so well and then effectively cave in. Seven games on the bounce.. He won't be playing tomorrow now I assume. I was hoping for great things from Evo this tournament but this is quite disappointing against two players he's well capable of beating. Mentally fatigued, almost certainly.
Posted rant to wrong thread but here it is correctly placed.
Very strange on the match stats on the DC app. First serves is just a number rather than a percentage. I don't recall seeing that before. It really isn't terribly helpful.
