Week 46 - ITF (W15) - Sharm El Sheikh, Egypt - Hard

Both Pitak sisters could do with a boost this week. Ola especially has failed to kick on these last few weeks after achieving a CH on 21 Oct, and it would be good to see her do so again. Her opening match is not an easy one though against a player ranked only marginally below her and with a good junior record. Kasia will be happier with the fact she faces a qualifier.

R32: Aleksandra PITAK (GBR) [8] 766 vs Valentina RYSER (SUI) 810=CH  Born 2001 (JCH:44 March 19)

R32: Katarzyna PITAK (GBR) 1217 vs QUALIFIER

There's an unpleasant trend setting in here at the moment. Ola is losing tight matches that previously she would probably have won. This match was against probably the 9th seed, so an unfortunate first round draw, but the end result is that Ola has won only 1 of her last 4 matches here now.

Kasia's match isn't even close, she's being thumped.. I'll update on that soon.

R32: Aleksandra PITAK (GBR) [8] 766 lost to Valentina RYSER (SUI) 794 Born 2001 (JCH:44 March 19) 6-7(4) 4-6

R32: Katarzyna PITAK (GBR) [WC] 1217 lost to Giorgia PINTO (ITA) 1192 (CH:696) 2-6 1-6

Good stuff.

Should take the Pitaks to doubles CHs in the 660s on Monday week. And to GB joint #20.
