Ali seems to have woken up feeling chirpier this morning.

Having lost her first set 6-0 yesterday, she's now a break up in the second at *3-2

Equally, Sonay went up 3-0. Then back on serve. Now *4-2

And loses 7-5. Four unforced errors in the last game. Don't remember Ali being a noisy player when I saw her play at Chiswick in August !

Hmm that's disappointing for Ali. After a great come back it seems she tightened up at the end from what's been said. At 5-2 up that final set it looked like Ali was there. But she only got 4 pts in those last 3 games, and she did have a MP opportunity. Closest was when she was deuce on her own serve at *5-3.

Sonay has a top junior up next.

Sonay will play this match a bit later today. Vismane finished her first round match yesterday, so the odds pretty stacked against Sonay.

Sonay had a good go in her 2nd match of the day, and was in fact 4-4 first set when her much fresher opponent then took control of the match. But a second counter for her, just one more to a ranking
