Retirement or not, and it does seem fortunate for her, this is a big win for Naiktha. For a start the 29 net points she has here moves her up to WR 244 and pretty much guarantees her AO qualifying entrance (last year the first cut was WR 240 and final cut was in the 250s).

Do these events count towards 2020 wta race. ? Ie will naiktha be in an early top 8 qualifying place at end of this week
Or is it a race deadzone?
