An encouraging end to the year though, and good that he's reached the ranking he has with clearly a lot still to work on. It seems that much of the latter part of his year has been stymied by injury and the psychological fallout from the Wimbledon mixed doubles fiasco. Hopefully though he can put that Gauff behind him and Dart up the rankings next year....
Pity about the months after Wimbledon and whatever held Jay back ( I did see the "pain free" comment from Jay that Bob referenced earlier, indicating that he'd had injury issues ) and again great to see such a form return. Hopefully a prelude to a further push on in the new year
Over this year though, having ended last year at WR 233, looking at the predictions thread, he is still one of only 2 GB men whose ranking today is better than the average of their top 10 selections.
The 2 are : Cam : average prediction 59, current WR 53 Jay : average prediction 176, current WR 155
