Comparing the entry here to Ortisei which is offering the same points. The 15 & 16th seeds here wouldnt have even got in, in Italy to the draw. Definitely a good chance for Brydan and Jay to pick up some points.

Further to the above including the qualifying positions in the draw, in total there are 15 outside the top 1000. The top 1/4 especially weak, not one first round game with a person ranked inside the top 1000.

Jay won the first set against Hemery, 6-4, but is 2-4* down in the second.

And Jay breaks back, with Hemery and some of his typical and not very attractive sulky theatricals (Hemery's that is !)

Well, I switched on at 2-4 down - only to watch Jay win the next four games

Finished it off with two aces (only served 5 in total so they came at just the right moment) and playing very well.

Hemery can be a tricky customer, he was very close to the top 100 a few years back, and is still young.

But 6-4 6-4 to Jay and well played!
