Sadly, that may have been the game that decided the match.
Not sure what Harriet was thinking on the silly glory return attempt on the first break point. Otherwise Kuzmova served well though there was half a chance on a missed forehand on the third one.
Kuzmova strikes. Harriet needs to break straight back.
Kuzmova a different player. Her shoulders had dropped but Harriet couldn't quite get there and now she's up on her toes and this is rolling to Slovakia. Absolutely creaming the ball and Harriet now double faulting under pressure.

Feel for her but at this level you can't miss those chances.
Such a shame. Amazing effort, and she really did have her chances but it's hard to be anything but uplifted by what Harriet did today.
But on two key break points she went for overzealous returns on second serves down the line instead of going for something deep to the feet or hard cross court. She will think about those a lot tonight I think.
But an incredible learning experience I am sure.
2-0 down and the reality is the tie is over. I would be inclined to fire Swan out tomorrow if she's fit to give her the experience.
