No, he isnt in - he is 3rd alternate as it stands, needs 3 players to withdraw before getting in. Possibly could happen, Federer appears doubtful for one, maybe Stan as well...not sure if he is on site though, presumably he is

Yes, Dan withdrew from the Paris qualifying list because he hadn't been feeling well but indicated that he might take up a MD place.

He would though have to be into the MD before qualifying starts.

That kind of explains why he seemed to be lacking that 'je ne sais quoi' in Basel.
