Leylah Fernandez, which was a very good win, was the only top 350 player Katie has beaten on this streak, and 5 of the 7 have been 430+, so can't get too carried away yet, but it is great that Katie is stringing a lot of (straight set) wins together, picking up decent points, and edging closer to the ranking where she has been before, and one that you would think was far more realistic for her ability and potential.

Would be great if she could get to another final here to improve her options when picking tournaments at the beginning of 2020, which hopefully will be a breakout year for her.

Barnett certainly isn't looking out of place in these tournaments, 2 wins from 4 matches in the singles (Claremont/Waco), semifinal in the doubles (Waco), and into the QF in doubles here with Burrage. The singles losses, a gutsy fight against Harrison (7th seed, Claremont), and competitive against Swan (3rd seed, Waco) today. She's doing well.

Yes, I think Lissey is underranked at the moment. Even when these points go on she will still only have a ranking around 570, but she should be in the top 500 easily. She has a current CH 453, but the way she has been playing these last weeks, I agree that she certainly has the potential to take this out. 

Tonight she has a doubles still with Jodie.

 

An MTO in the doubles QF involving Alicia and Jodie who took the first set but are now level at one set all.

So Emily and Jacqueline through to the SF, Lissey and Jodie won the first set but are out. I hope that MTO DF mentions is nothing serious for either of them.. It seems Jodie especially is still feeling her way back.

 A lot of it is in her head. Saw her at Chiswick, and she seemed to struggle on winning the key points. She certainly ought to be winning a few matches at this level.
