Oh hello there Mandy. I wondered if that might happen... Which does prove what Indy and I were speculating in the entry's discussion that Mandy inadvertently forgot to withdraw in time from the Tunisia 15k event so that her qualifying entry here (which was her priority 1) got automatically withdrawn.

I wondered at the back of my mind if she might reappear here somehow, since she is playing well at the moment, but hasn't played for two weeks now, and this is actually the last Spanish event scheduled this year.

MUCH better serving and all round play from Mandy second set as she wins it convincingly without even a single BP against her. Now just one more like that will do... 4-6 6-1

Mandy continued her dominance to *3-0 final set, when Pieri came back again, breaking Mandy twice to bring the score to 4-4. And this time Mandy has managed to break back again, taking her 3rd BP of the game. So she will have a chance to serve for the match at *5-4

Yay, finally Mandy has made it. After 4 breaks in a row she finally holds her serve to triumph at the second attempt

Interesting challenge up next for Mandy. Alvarez is just 20 with a former JCH 18.

She will overtake both Katie B and Katy D, and be level on points with Fran.
