He's far exceeded what I expected at this stage of this comeback. Very encouraging signs. Would love nothing more than to see him battling it out with Djokovic, Federer and co. again at the right end of masters and majors - I know that's still a long way from being a reality and who knows how far he can go at the moment, but the signs are promising so far.

Good hustle in the match from Andy. He's not playing next week, right? But then seeing out the season in Paris? That win looks to have got him back up to 155 in the rankings.

So, the organisers get what I presume is their dream final:

Final:  (4) Stan Wawrinka (SUI) WR 18 (CH = 3 in January 2014) vs (PR) Andy Murray WR 243

I suppose they might've liked Goffin to be in the final...wink

Aka:

Ricky Dimon @Dimonator

Murray (retired in January) vs. Wawrinka (had not played since the US Open due to a knee injury) for an ATP title

Report by the Beeb.  Notes that Andy leads the head-to-head by 11-8.

Yup, it's looking that way. That's the break in the second set and much of Stan's play has been excellent.

Anybody else struggle to watch this because its so good and desperate for Andy to win? I hate watching his service games look away then look back at his return games. Am I alone in this?
