Was watching the scores tick over, first set seemed quite a tense one, 5-5, and Swan saved a break point in the next game, before smashing her opponent's service to love. Good win against a decent player, who had beaten two seeded players in the previous rounds. Who will it be in the final, Pedretti (Swan lost to her in the Junior Fed Cup [retired one set down] a few years back) or Lao (Swan lost to her on grass in two sets, a couple of years ago)? Either one, it would be a good match.

It was actually 5 BPs in that game, *15-40, then 3 further 40-As, so could have been different, and possibly affected the opponent in that next service game, serving to stay in it, rather than serving for it.
Pedretti currently a set up, but a break down in that other semi final. She did beat Jodie in R1, but I probably hope she comes through, as it'll probably be easier on paper.
One more to go for Katie. Her opponent in the final, Thaisa Pedretti, is a 20yr old former JCH 34 who beat Danielle Lao, the 2nd seed, in a long 3-setter in the other SF.
Swan's opponent in the final, Pedretti, has shown great resilience and beaten 3 right-handers to get this far, though she got lucky in R2 against leftie Kayla Day who picked up an injury whilst leading 6-2, 3-1 and was eventually unable to continue. Maybe that shows where Pedretti is vulnerable.
I know, but thinking more the kind of angles that Swan might hit toward Pedretti ...
.. something along the lines of : https://www.tennis.com/your-game/2009/07/how-to-beat-a-lefty/17426/ .. but rather how to beat a right hander who has difficulty dealing with a leftie
