Actually only figuratively - in France at the moment and Bet3565 is outlawed as the devil incarnate here - can't even use the livestream services....

(and to be honest the odds are pretty tight - I don't think I'd have bet on Katie anyway)

But still think Katie will get it.....

Yep, know all about Bet365 and France. Tried to do that brilliant £50 in play bet offer they had back in the day (reduced to a fiver for me these days) when I was over for the Euro's in 2016, but to no avail.

Hmm, it is on serve, but only 1 of the last 13 points for Katie. *2-3.

But a hold to 15, and hopefully back on track. 3-3*

Lissey saves 3 MPs in all in the TB but not a 4th. Loses by 7-5 7-6(8)

Katie 3-3*

And an early hold in the first game of the second, so 5 games in a row. Would have been interesting to see what happened in that little spell, whether Katie just went passive for a bit, or if the young'un really raised her game, or a bit of both, whatever it was, Katie does seem back on track now.

That's a very impressive performance from Lissey, lost in 2 straight sets, but it took all of 2 hrs 30 mins for the WR 307 to get past her. Which suggests that Lissey is significantly underranked at the moment. She was another one for whom the lack of appropriate tournaments during the grass season resulted in her losing about 150 places during that summer period.

Katie won 6-3 6-3. Rather higher junior profile to face next, Leylah Fernandez.

The doubles QFs could have started better.

(1) Katie+ : 1-6
(2) Alicia+ : 2-6 *1-2

MTB's for both.
Katie+ lose 10 - 6
Lissey + win 14-12

(sorry, can't do the draws for a couple of weeks)

Not sure what's happening in Claremont. Katie supposed to be first on at 10am local, so 6pm here, but they've not started yet, and doesn't seem to be any rain. Perhaps it was a mistake and meant to start at the more common time off 11am (7pm UK)?
