I'm starting a thread here to note that we do not have anyone in qualifying... which means that as the q1 seed was one below Lissey in the alt list I'm assuming that she has made the MD too, along with Katie S, Jodie and Tara, who are all on the MD acceptance list already.

Let's hope they all play!

The top seeds Swan and Anderson got a walkover in the 1st round of the doubles.
Barnett and Harrison are seeded 2.

Katie has ended up with a LL, fellow 20 year old Dominique Schaefer, ranked 939, who lost 6-0 6-1 in her FQR match. Looks like she was a decent junior a few years ago, but doesn't seem to have transitioned well looking at her recent results:

A spell of inactivity from July 18 to March 19 which obviously won't have helped her rnaking, but can't really see anything there that makes me think she'd trouble Katie.

Match on C12 has finished so Jodie should be underway soon. Hopefully she's edging closer to her form prior to Surbiton, and gets a confidence inspiring convincing win here (although I'd take any kind).

Didn't realise she was actually 3-1 up in the first set before losing 5 games straight. She was 3-1* up in the second set as well, but pegged back to *3-4, thankfully, she has just held, so the sequence of 5 straight games lost didn't repeat it's self.
