And a good bronze in the womens sprint relay. 7 medals - most folks I heard predicting in the press etc suggested 4 or 5 would be a decent target . And the womens 800 to come tomorrow? Not sure if we stand a chance in the 400 relays?
10 medals - best haul at a World Champs 9 on the track plus KJT
If we can just promote some field event athletes and endurance runners....
UKA might just get some extra funding and avoid going bust. Might even find a sponsor off the back of this...
Great championshops for Britain and also Budapest was a good venue after qatar and eugene, no atmosphere whereas Hungary had really good crowds. Felt like a big event.
Has anyone been following the World Indoor Athletics this evening? Two gold medals for Team GB - Josh Kerr in the 3000m and Molly Caudery in the Pole Vault. She is really delightful and they were both terrific performances.
Yes - Molly has improved massively this season. Josh's race just suited him, not too quick and he was always going to outkick the field in an averagely run race.
Jemma Reekie should pick up a medal tomorrow along with the 4x400m ladies

Not the strongest fields being Olympic year
Jemma would have got closer if she had got her tactics right, but it was too slow and she was outkicked.
The girls broke the British record again, but were never going to catch the Dutch who have the 1-2 in the individual.
