and the mixed 4 x 400 relay team for silver on the previous day.
I was so thrilled for KJT - gone through so much and on the verge of giving up with injuries - she said that 800m was the easiest race she'd ever run - amazing!!!!!
Kat was outstanding on day 2 and the 800m run was superb.
The new coaching team of Aston Moore and the coaches at Loughborough have done a good job improving her fitness and confidence.
I'm heavily involved with Liverpool Harriers and expect the press to be looking for stories or wanting to come down this week.
The only issue is we rarely see Kat these days and when she does come down it's deliberstely not when the track is busy. She doesn't like the attention.
Just a request from the BBC and the Liverpool Echo so far to interview someone who knew KJT.
We have had requests to bring cameras down to the club in the past - mainly from North West tonight. Although one of the presenter's son, from NWT, has just joined, so she may ask in person...
Jakob has no idea how to run a tactical race. He only runs diamond league with pacemakers, so knows nothing else.
A least the Scots have a competitive British Champs for selection purposes.
Paced races are too common and are killing the tactical protest of athletes.

I remember back in the day thar Steve ovett was the master tactically. Runners like Seb Coe might win the pace chase but Ovett had that tactical nouse - he was always my favourite! Is he still alive and what is he up to these days - Coe we see all too often , sadly.
I was definitely for Ovett over Coe back in the day.
Steve seems to be still alive and kicking. He has been a bit of a recluse, at least from the media, ever since he retired. One or two radio programs have wanted to do stuff with him but he just hasn't been interested.
I do certainly credit Coe for his huge part in securing the awarding of the London Olympics.

good to hear re Steve and, yes, re Coe and London. I remember bizarrely meeting him, Coe, out of the blue in New York - i was on a family trip and in the museum shop at the Met Modern Art Gallery and there he was.
I just liked Steve Ovett because he seemed the guy against the establishment and not the golden eyed guy, a bit of edge!
She's been in good form. but gee did she get in a bad position in her SF and was lucky to manage to slalom through runners rather than try to go round them.
