Well as good a draw as any she could get for Naiktha as she tries again for that first win in 8 or 9 matches or whatever it is (she's had 2 wins in the last 13 according to Rosamund, whose searches are very helpful!)

R32: Naiktha BAINS (GBR) [5] 278 vs QUALIFIER

Naiktha will only play her first round match on Wed. No doubles for her this week, after her title win last week.

R32: Naiktha BAINS (GBR) [5] 278 vs Gabriella DA SILVA FICK (AUS) [Q] 552 (CH:535)

Toowoomba must have been rain affected. End of Tuesday and Naiktha still hasn't got on court yet.

Another defeat for Naiktha  in a close match 1-6 7-5 6-7. She had 3 match points at 5-4 in the 3rd set. I notice as well in the tournament that Tereza Mihalikova who beat Katie Swan in the 2015 Australian junior final won all of 2 games in the first round against top seed Madison Inglis.

Close or not, Naiktha could not have asked for a better draw... cry

That's 9 losses in a row I'm afraid.

Yes, and it looks a choke there too. She's in trouble now. Maybe can win a doubles title, but a singles match seems beyond her at the moment. Needs help to rebuild her confidence now.
