 The Fogmister and Murray have a strange head to head. Fog has beaten Murray 3 times, when Murray was prime, so now Murray is not prime and Fogmister is playing better than ever, this should be a walk in the park for the Fog.

 

 Well, no 'walk in the park' so far.... smile

Foggy won the first set, just, in a TB

Andy has walked the second set 6-2 (although Foggy pretty much gave up at the end, as is his wont)

He served for the match at 5-4 & then again at 6-5...

Well, Andy broke twice, and served for the match twice.

And Fognini absolutely reeled Andy in, spooking him, getting under Andy's skin, not by the tennis but by his in-your-face antics. Andy is livid. And with Fergus Murphy for allowing it.
But Andy really got sucked into Fog's messing around there.

And then got killed in the TB.

Never change Andy with your slug-fest drawn out matches and getting annoyed by your opponent's antics.

Real pity for Andy but still very encouraging.

He's at a good consistent level ahead of my expectations, which have generally been pretty positive re him being back and looking to the new year.

Surely if staying pain free and getting fitter and more match tuned he is only going to find a higher level come next year.

I now make my earlier comment that I could see him overtaking Fed in the rankings next year an all out prediction that he will overtake Fed next year.

Yes, I see Fed going a bit backwards but it is very much about what Andy has produced so far.

i.e. he shouted out as Andy hit the ball and when Andy gave him a look afterwards, he shouted out 'don't look at me!'.

As flamigowings says, all very childish but quite effective - everytime Andy tried to challenge him, Foggy would just smile, and laugh, and make it look like Andy was making a mountain out of a molehill.

CD - I can't swear on this board, child is being "nice"! smile

But hey, we all remember #spideycamgate and #feathergate and that match with Novak at the AO (was it a final..it probably was) where he was rope-a-doping. All which cost Andy as he ended up losing concentration.
