 A shame indeed. Emily seems to be having a lot of trouble taking the next step up. She usually does ok in the 15k events but nothing else really. She's still young but how much longer will her Sky sponsorship last?

It's 4 years actually, 2017-20, it's been a good deal for Emily... She's made some improvement this year, and her level of play seems to have upped a notch or too... But yes, not exactly cracking it just yet. She still has to attain her goal of getting inside the top 500, and she's not making much progress in getting there at the moment.

I won't be able to post any draws for the next couple of weeks as I'll be travelling.

SF: Emeline DARTRON (FRA) / Mylene HALEMAI (FRA) CR1588 (813+773) v Emily APPLETON GBR / Yuriko Lily MIYAZAKI (JAP) [3] CR1107 (376+731)
The French teenagers put out the top seeds 0 & 4, so perhaps a harder match than it looks on paper

The two doubles SFs are bookending the day so Emily and Yuriko will only know their opponents in the final after the last match is finished for the day.
